Report: Paddy McNair on radar of Celtic and Sunderland

    Joe Jones

Manchester United defender Paddy McNair is on the radar of both Sunderland and Celtic, according to reports.

The 21-year-old is understood to be out of favour at Old Trafford as new boss Jose Mourinho looks to offload a number of fringe players.

English tabloid The Sun believes that David Moyes is keen to take McNair to the Stadium of Light, having worked with the youngster during his time in charge of United three years ago.

However, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is also said to have targeted the Northern Ireland international to help bolster his defensive ranks, while Newcastle United have previously been linked too.

McNair has made 24 appearances for Man Utd since breaking into the senior line-up two years ago.
