Crystal Palace are hopeful of securing the signing of Christian Benteke from Liverpool this summer, according to reports.
Negotiations between the two clubs appeared to have broken down after the Eagles saw a £25m bid rejected at the start of July, with Liverpool keen to recoup as much of the £32.5m they paid Aston Villa for the striker last summer.
However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp last week hinted that Benteke was not in his first-team plans, prompting Palace to reopen talks with the Merseysiders.
According to The Telegraph, Palace are willing to match Benteke's £120,000-a-week wages, while the player himself is thought to be keen on a move to Selhurst Park.
The two Premier League sides are now thrashing it out over a price for the 25-year-old, who would become Palace's fourth signing of the summer.
