Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey has confirmed that he has undergone "successful surgery" although the extent of his leg injury remains unclear.
The full-back was stretchered off after appearing to twist his left ankle towards the end of Saturday's 1-1 draw against West Ham.
Amartey posted the injury update on Twitter, using the message to also pay tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was among five people who died in a tragic helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium.
"Came out of a successful surgery, but devastating news about the demise of our chairman," Amartey said.
"A generous man, to whom [Leicester City] owes everything. I'm sure, you're in a much better place.
"My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the families of the victims affected by this tragedy."
