Everton have completed the signing of Portugal youth goalkeeper Joao Virginia from Arsenal on a three-year deal.
The 18-year-old was part of the Portuguese side that beat Italy in the Under-19 European Championship final in Finland on Sunday.
Virginia joined the Gunners in 2015 after progressing through the ranks of the Benfica academy and made 22 appearances for the Under-18s and Under-23s last term.
"I am really happy to be at Everton," Virginia told the official Toffees website.
"I hope to learn a lot from the goalkeepers here, Jordan Pickford, who had a great season and World Cup and Maarten Stekelenburg, who is very experienced too. This is a great opportunity for me."
